What you need to do
Here is what you need to do first:
- Go through the work you’ve done so far in the course (get notes from someone else if you’ve missed some lesson) – Find out what you’ve already done
- Compare what you’ve already covered in the course against one or more of the examples of topics shown on the next pages
Here is what you need to do secondly:
Now, bearing in mind you’ll have the questions for the exam BEFORE the exam:
- READ the pre-examination document and LEARN any diagram(s) – draw them out
- Ask yourself “Do I understand all the words and names in the diagram?” then
- RESEARCH unknown words, terms, expressions and other aspects shown in the reading
- Make up questions for yourself such as “What do I know about ………” i.e., the topic of the pre-examination document or diagram
- Think and talk about to your mates “What could we be asked about ….. this diagram, the topic, the data etc.”
- Look up other examples of the same diagram – COMPARE them
- Do not rely only on the text book given by your school or college – it is unlikely it will have all you need for any examination in Human Biology
- Use your class notes!
